Prof. Hans Hillmann (born 1925) belongs to most respected graphic designers in Germany for many years now.
His work consist of more than 130 movie posters from 50s through 70s. With his distinctive style and sophisticated visualization of movie content and principles he´s influencing oncoming generation even today.
He isn´t known only as movie poster artist, but as book illustrator and long-term associate of magazine F.A.Z. as well. He has been teaching graphic art on Academy of visual arts in Kassel from 1961. He was awarded with gold medal from Art Directors club in New York in 1992 for his illustrations.
